ABOUT US
Our Mission
Our mission is to help women transform their lives and their communities by providing life and technical skills, critical and liberating information, and spiritual or soul motivation. We aim to tangibly and positively impact women who live on societies’ economic bottom and women who sit in corporate boardrooms. We seek to empower and work with people of diverse socio-economic circumstances, races, ethnicities, and religions.
Our Motto
We are Lifting as we Climb; Climbing to Lift!
Our History
Rev. Dr. Mitzi J. Smith (Ph.D., Harvard) first founded Living in Full Empowerment, Inc. in the summer of 2007. Dr. Smith saw that many of her students lacked basic writing skills. That summer we conducted our first successful basic writing workshop. Dr. Smith temporarily put the vision on hold, and in July 2011, she resurrected it with the continued purpose of assisting women in improving their lives. Our kick-off event is the 2012 Inaugural Women's Conference in the Detroit metro area, July 26-28. This Conference will convene at the Michigan State Management Education Conference Center in Troy, Michigan, 811 West Square Lake Road.
